Has anyone ever made one of these? are there kits available that have the necessary yarn, beads, and twine, around which the yarn is wrapped several times? I've read somewhere that it takes about six hours to make just one, if you have the patience to do it.

I don't know where you can get the kits to make them, but there must be some somewhere around.

I have made tuns of them and even used pipe cleaners to shape them not in to rings but shapes or things, like cats, dolphins and things like that. I have once here lately made one out of an ivey and used my hair witch was verry long and then tide flowers to it. I was out in the woods at the time and hung it up on a tree, don't know what had happen to it. it really depens on what kind of a dream catcher you want to make. you can use many things for the ring, string and decorations. you could get a flimzy stick round it tie the ends with a string of somekind and then make the in side part. you could use beads charms or anything. It really depends on the style you are wanting. earthy ones could have a wooden ring lether string adn clay or wooden beads. you could supsitude the beads with candy, popcorn, ciriol or other eatable things and use thread and nedle as the mid. then hang it upp on your christmas tree and eat it for christmas, IDK.

Uh ... dreamcatchers are meant to hang over your bed, not on a tree. I'dl ike the ring to be as sturdy as possible, to take the weight when it's hanging from the ceiling.
